Our client, a leading tax company, is looking for a Marketing Project Manager to assist their in-house marketing team with a 4-6 month freelance project, fully remote (likely the full 6 months).

The Marketing Project Manager will need to be comfortable acting as more of a Marketing Generalist, assisting the team with a blend of Project Management duties and competitive intelligence / marketing tracking.

Additionally, our client is doing a lot of new things right now in marketing so the willingness to pivot and the eagerness to join an exciting (albeit ambiguous at times) environment is key for the right Marketing Project Manager / Generalist!

Marketing Project Manager Details:
• A strong Marketing Generalist is ideal, an agency background may help
• Experience managing a marketing project calendar is needed
• Ability to coordinate different projects and track the record of impact is key, along with knowing when to surface road blocks
• Follow up with various departments and project tickets
• Must be able to self-manage priority lists and self-project manage – it’s just tracking everything, not assigning
• They already have project management tools and processes in place (they use ZenDesk)
• Use their master calendar in Google Docs
• Able to join meetings at 9 AM EST weekly
• Dependability is a key soft skill
• Our client will train the Marketer on their platforms/tools
• Experience working with data and how to think about data/competitive analysis is helpful
• Willingness to dig into the less glamorous parts of campaigns is necessary
• Motivation to learn and the ability to stay calm under pressure in their fast paced environment are key soft skills

Below is a breakdown of the split PM and marketing duties.

o Updating and monitoring progress with project plan and deliverables
o Supporting asset work flows
• Reviewing copy/content and coordinating with other marketing teams
