UI Product Designer - WFH during Covid-19

Our client, a global financial company, needs a UI Product Designer to join their design-led transformation team for 6 months (remote during covid and eventually onsite in NYC).

The Product Designer will use Design Thinking methodology to develop empathy for the product’s users and work closely with local and global teams to deliver high quality, end-to-end designs and experiences in a fast-paced environment to re-imagine the customer experience (CX).

Product Designer Role & Responsibilities
· Deliver wireframes, screen flows, high-fidelity screens, and visual assets to support the product development process
· Create click-through prototypes, presentations, and videos to showcase product vision and get buy-in from key stakeholders
· Understand and document user research findings and iterate designs based on feedback
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, researchers, product managers, and subject matter experts
· Communicate complex information using various design tools and artifacts including journey maps, storyboards, task flows, wireframes, service blueprints, personas, etc.
· Apply, maintain, and build upon design systems to ensure consistent designs

Product Designer Requirements
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields
· 3+ years of work experience in the design field
· Track record of high-quality design execution
· A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design experience
· Ability to collaborate across various functional areas in the organization and make the case for change through design
· Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually in a clear and engaging manner
· Proficiency in design, prototyping, and presentation software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite, Invision, and Keynote

Product Designer Preferred Skills
· Familiarity with Design Thinking process and methodology
· Familiarity with user research methodologies and best practices
· Technical knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript
· Experience in the application of design systems (e.g. Material Design)
· Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design
