Marketing Data Science (Insights & Analytics) - Remote Freelance to Full Time - WFH during Covid-19

Our client, a major financial and insurance institution, is looking for a Marketing Data Scientist focusing mostly on Insights and Analytics.

This role is REMOTE to start and a workstation will be provided.

The Marketing Data Scientist (Insights & Analytics) will:
- Co-develop analytics plans with the Director, Marketing Data Science to deliver against critical business objectives and to identify business goals and develop strategies for translating those into measurable KPIs
- Lead Doe marketing effectiveness measurement and attribution for priority lines of businesses and pilot programs.
- Lead weekly project management and insights delivery for Multi-Touch Attribution and Digital Media Performance Analytics and Optimization (partner with agency)
- Provide digestible marketing insights that translate into practical, actionable recommendations for B2B marketing across multiple channels ( TV, Digital – search, display & social, Email – acquisition & CRM, Direct mail, Inbound & outbound phone)
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis using first, second, and third party data to answer business questions.
- Lead actionable use of customer segmentation to deliver deep insights on our customers across industries.
- Support Forecasting team in delivering accurate weekly forecasts through timely and quality inputs.
- Build dashboards with visuals to aggregate data automatically
- Lead test and learn pilot measurement planning. Perform deep dive analyses and lead testing implementation. Develop measurement and activation plans that play a key role in enhancing customer experience and performance of online and offline marketing programs.
- Support US Marketing in establishing best-in-class data management, analytics planning, implementation, reporting and insights across marketing initiatives including: acquisition, cross-sell, retention
- Create and grow trusted cross-functional relationships with marketing partners, business partners, IT partners, research and analytics vendors and media/consulting agencies.

The The Marketing Data Scientist (Insights & Analytics will have the following qualifications:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in data analytics, monitoring business performance results and creating recommendations to make key business decisions.
- Be adept/expertise in Market Mix Modelling, Multi-touch attribution, Segmentation, Regression, Conjoint analysis a must
- Have familiarity with digital marketing and media planning/buying
- Have great project management skills, sense of urgency, & established track record of managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Have demonstrated ability in understanding business issues/models & translating them into metrics & analysis plans. Able to triangulate disparate data & turning them into business recommendations & actions
- Be able to assess and understand key structured and unstructured data sources
- Understand and work around possible limitations in models of Statistical Analysis
- Build complex data sets from multiple data sources
- Build/Code/Analyze Appropriate Data in order to drive to actionable and clear business recommendations
- Leverage data science tools/techniques to analyze large data sets & develop custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns & insights in the data
- Have advanced Excel and intermediate MS Access abilities
- Be adept in Domo, Qlik Sense or other BI data aggregation and visualization software
- Be competent in digital standard reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe & DoubleClick
- Be familiar with data platforms (SAS, R, Alteryx) and digital languages (HTML, JavaScript)

Preferred Skills:
-Basic knowledge of marketing principles, market research/strategic Insights experience
-Experience in Insurance, Financial Services
-Experience in applying analytics and attribution in B2B industries
-Experience in digital media planning and optimization analytics
-Experience in predictive modeling and forecasting
-Adobe Analytics; web analytics certified
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, VBA/VBS, or similar)
- Intermediate SQL knowledge i.e. comfortable with complex table joins, aggregates, derived measures/formulas in code
- Understanding of data onboarding process and platforms (e.g. LiveRamp, Neustar) and online to phone tracking (e.g. DialogTech, Invoca, Marchex)
