Sr. Project Coordinator - Remote During Covid / Waterloo - WFH during Covid-19

Our client is looking for a Sr. Project Coordinator to join their team for 12 months starting in November. This person will work from home while Covid restrictions are in place and be in office in Waterloo once Covid restrictions are lifted.

You will work directly with the Director, Account Delivery and the Program Director to support the program team as follows:
- Providing support to Program & Project Management with a range of tracking, coordinating, documentation and issues management activities across the PM life cycle.
- Supporting effective management of projects to deliver on time, on cost and according to client quality expectations:
- Assisting Project Managers and Program Director in preparing cost/benefit analyses and business case diligence
- Demonstrating a firm dedication to goals and objectives relative to the project.
- Assisting in the development of project plans that effectively aligns scope, time, cost, quality, resources, risk, communication and procurement.
- Assisting with tracking, monitoring and following up on appropriate risk management practices.
- Assisting the team to ensure that change, acceptance and approval management is proactive and effective.
- Helping with project specific presentations as requested.
- Ensuring that appropriate processes, tools and techniques are used by the project teams.
- Assisting with stakeholder communications.
- Escalating project issues and risks.
- Assisting Project Manager in delivering project status report updates on accomplishments against milestones.
- Coordinating meetings as requested and taking detailed minutes and actions resulting from project meetings.
- Managing the central database repository for all projects.

Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years coordination/administration experience, supporting medium to large technical/business projects environments.
- Experience with Sharepoint
- Strong speaking skills; ability to facilitate a group meeting.
- Knowledge of project techniques, tools and methodologies with experience in project management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical, business and project management people to proactively manage project issues logs, risk logs, status reports, etc- High level of skill using Sharepoint, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
