Our client is looking for a motivated, Manager, User Experience Design to join their Toronto team, full time. You are an expert at your craft, a mentor and have the desire to build a team.

What you'll be doing as the Manager, User Experience Design:
- Proactively approaching your role in managing multiple tracks of UX work on a large portfolio.
- Ensuring all projects meet a high standard of excellence, fulfill the client’s vision and deliver on their business goals.
- Consulting with clients to shape the UX strategies that deliver business value and customer satisfaction.
- Developing interaction design, task flow, behaviour, and navigation design; contributing to persona creation and journey mapping.
- Leading the ideation, sketching, and prototyping for desktop, tablet, mobile, digital-physical objects and environments.
- Collaborating with Consumer Insights to create test plans and synthesize research findings into actionable insights.
- Mentoring less experienced designers as a practice and because you enjoy doing it.
- Articulating rationale for approach in business and user needs context.
- Assuming your role as the go-to person for client work and pitches.
- Acting as a subject matter for an industry or vertical that is crucial to our business, such as retail, financial services, automotive, etc.
- Reporting to the Executive Creative Director.

Skill and Experience:
- 8+ years of experience working on complex software, transactional or ecommerce experiences, with medium to large-sized teams, in a cross disciplinary digital agency.
- 2+ years team management experience
- Degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction or industrial design preferred.
- Experience designing and facilitating workshops with senior-level clients.
• Experienced in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Proficient in scoping and estimating UX tasks
• Track record of UX leadership on one-off projects and multi-track proects.
Tools: InVision, Sketch, Freehand and Whimsical.
