Our client, a boutique marketing agency, is seeking a Senior Strategic Planner to join their team, full time.

The Senior Strategic Planner will be responsible for:
- Working with Account and Creative teams to effectively position Product Services clients in the marketplace from ideation to implementation
- Developing and articulating relevant marketing implications from strategic consulting engagements across multiple projects simultaneously
- Working with 3rd party research agencies to help design, facilitate and moderate client workshops, including positioning, segmentation, customer journey and customer experience
- Assisting with implementation of best practices for Strategic Planning roles/ processes
- Crafting customer personas from segmentation data and analysis
- Mapping customer journey and ecosystem, developing communication platforms aligned to segments and journey stages, drafting creative and experience briefs
- Providing thought leadership on new and progressive programs, tactics and customer experiences in the marketing world, especially in financial, insurance and B2B
- Partnering with managers and principals to drive business development and client relationships

The Senior Strategic Planner will have the following qualifications:
- 7+ years experience, ideally in strategic planning for a branding firm or advertising agency
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to patiently work with stakeholders through the process of refining a value proposition or positioning statement
- Experience with communications planning and message sequencing
- Deep understanding of strategic brand segmentation, targeting, positioning, customer journey and customer experience
- Very personable and capable of motivating multiple different personality types
- Great presentation skills with drive to elevate the work of the agency
- Ability to simplify complex subjects / material and solve problems
- Experience effectively partnering with clients, consultants and agency personnel across disciplines
- Ability to take business insights and strategies and conceive innovative, relevant and tangible activation ideas
