Our agency client is looking for a Director of Digital Media Planning and Activation to join their Digital Transformation Group full-time, onsite at their office in Bergen County (commutable from NYC by bus!).

The ideal Director of Digital Media Planning and Activation is addicted to driving performance - leveraging data and translating them into amazing omni-channel (Display, Programmatic, Social, Search etc.) campaigns!

Equally as important, the Digital Media Director needs to be a thought leader who excels at leading and mentoring a rapidly growing team and is capable of owning relationships with various internal client organizations. The leader in this role is responsible for providing strategic direction for their assigned team and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the business, the industry (CPG/tech/appliances), and competitive landscape.

They should have a proven track record of owning performance media strategy and execution end-to-end, excels at improving operational efficiencies and team workflow, skilled at developing team members and capable of creating positive, meaningful change. Director of Digital Media Planning and Activation Responsibilities:
- Owns omni-channel Media Planning and Activation; working closely with Connections Planning, Analytics, Account Planning and Data Science teams
- Actively demonstrates thought leadership to guide and advise all digital media initiatives, vet opportunities, and devise plans and strategies
- Responsible for the management and development of a rapidly growing team of 8+ direct reports; covering paid social, programmatic media, video, OLA, retail media and ad operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional DT teams, translating broader business and marketing challenges into powerful in-market campaigns
- Remain closely connected to daily operations to be able to assist team members need help and/or guidance when appropriate
- Able to lead and nurture team growth through effective mentorship


Director of Digital Media Planning and Activation Qualifications:
- Rigorous working knowledge of planning and activation across Display, Programmatic, Retail media, Paid Social and SEM
- Fluency in Display, Programmatic, Paid Social and SEM is mandatory with deep specialization in at least 2 of these channels
- 10+ years experience in digital media
- Proven record of managing/supervising a team of employees
- Experience managing acquisition-focused campaigns across a variety of business verticals. Experience in tech, retail and mobile verticals a plus.
- Drives thought leadership, POVs and crafts presentations that solve complex business and marketing needs
- Generates confidence as a trusted advisor by actively listening and understanding challenges and or roadblocks and speaking with authority on how we will address them
