Our client, a leading digital media company, needs to add a Customer Experience (CX) focused UX Director to their research focused in-house core team full-time.

At least 5 years of overall experience is required, with some of it coming from the research/UX/CX space (the hiring manager is open to candidates who are new to research and UX who may have a different background).

Experience with eCommerce / subscriptions / conversions is desired since this is such a CX/UX insights focused role.

This is not a visual design role. The CX/UX team won’t typically take things beyond wireframes.

CX/UX Director Requirements / Duties:
• Manage a team of 2 CX/UX designers, who are mostly researchers
• Strongly user focused (a background in e-commerce / subscription / conversion is a huge plus)
• Experience building insights around editorial products is a big plus
• Understanding of how to deepen customer engagement through research backed initiatives
• Embrace their lean framework but comfortable with a combination of lean and waterfall
• Build research based evidence and determine the business impact
• Work in tandem with the product team leads
• A good director and able to manage conversations

Our client's office is in Jersey City and is very easily commutable by public transportation (Ferry, PATH and Light Rail).
