Our client, a travel company, is looking to add a Front End Web Developer (who is knowledgeable with ReactJS) to their team full-time starting ASAP, likely October 2018.

There is no work from home but their office makes up for it because it's a modern, fun space with an onsite café and fitness area, not to mention the travel discounts!

Ideally the Front End Web Developer has professional working experience with ReactJS (for candidates with less experience they will consider Developers with at least a strong understanding of it).

They're a PHP Drupal shop so at the very least HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React experience are needed but also ideally PHP.

The hiring manager and lead developer on the team have only been there a year each so it's a newer, growing team and a good time to join as the team is figuring out how they operate.

Front End Web Developer Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience as a Web Developer
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience implementing and supporting responsive designs
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Working experience with ReactJS
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Good understanding of SEO principles
• Experience with content management systems, particularly Drupal is a big plus
• An understanding of integrations with external data sources and data flows (SQL databases, JSON, XML and APIs)
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

Front End Web Developer Responsibilities:
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Develop new user and admin-facing features
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Promote usability best practices
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Review and maintain documentation in accordance with department procedures
• Support testing of application and environmental upgrades
• Maintain understanding of current and new technologies
• Familiarity with ADA compliance requirements and best practices
• Assist with team training needs and other responsibilities as assigned
