Our client, a major consumer goods company located in Rhode Island is looking for a Print / Packaging Designer to join their team for a long term freelance assignment.

This is a 40 hour/week opportunity, slated for one year! Work will be done in a hybrid capacity, 3 days a week onsite in Pawtucket

As the Print / Packaging Designer, you will concept, design and execute instructional product guides and in-package print collateral that communicates product assembly, play & functionality as well as brand messaging.

Responsibilities include:
Utilizing team insights to guide item-level design decisions.
Conceptualizing and presenting innovative concepts to meet brand-messaging objectives, deliver play experience and story.
Executing instructions guides that effectively communicate product assembly and operation.
Executing in-package printed collateral (brochures, posters, cross-sells, activity sheets, etc.) that conveys strong visual branding and marketing message.
Providing progress reports.

The IDEAL Print / Packaging Designer will have:
Strong communication skills, with ability to absorb, process, distill, and communicate complex technical information.
Strong production skills, with ability to maintain branding consistency across a full seasonal rollout.
Proven ability to create complex layouts, infographics, and/or way-finding solutions.
Impeccable organization skills, with ability to oversee multiple projects, costs and schedules.
Expert knowledge of Adobe CC InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with, production requirements and printing.
Ability to a build production-ready documents and preflight final files as required.
