Our client, a publishing company, needs a Senior Designer to assist their in-house team onsite at their office in Hudson County (commutable by public transportation) through the end of the year.

The biggest software needs are Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

This is not just a UX Design job - this is a Visual Design job.

The Senior Designer will be part of their Global Corporate Affairs & Marketing team ensuring that the brand, communication, digital, and marketing efforts are being driven with global consistency for policymakers, influencers, the general public, and their employees.

Reporting to the Manager of Front End Development and UX, the Senior Designer will help shape the visual experience of our client's eCommerce efforts, specifically improving the usability usefulness, and desirability. Collaboration, partnership, and active stakeholder management is foundational to success in this role.

Senior Designer Requirements:
• 3+ years Hybrid eCommerce design / UX experience (B2B / B2C consoles)
• Design leadership, ideally with experience of managing a creative team
• Evidence of inclusion of user research / testing within work
• Extensive experience in a graphic/web/interactive design position is required
• Ability to create innovative, appealing, usable designs appropriate for the intended audience
• Must be proficient with common design software tools; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc) Sketch and InVision
• Strong conceptual and design skills
• Creative, outside-the-box thinker; proactive problem-solver
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented; able to manage workload independently
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• Experience with web design and eCommerce development best practices important; experience with version control software tools
• Responsive design best practices
• Must be proficient at resolving cross-browser compatibility issues
• Work within Agile/Scrum environment
