Rate Salary is DOE, $45K for junior level and up to $60K for mid level
Our client is looking for 3 trend savvy Graphic Designers (1 Junior Designer and 2 mid level) to join their growing in-house Costume Team onsite at their office in the Westchester area full-time (their office is not easily commutable by public transportation).

The ideal Graphic Designer has a passion for designing consumer products and wearables since they will work directly with the Art Director on exciting new costume design.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong graphic design, typography and illustration skills; proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator on a Mac is required. Experience with fabrics / cut and sew and or 3-D design will be helpful.

Consumer Product Graphic Designer Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Create fashion-forward graphics, patterns & any additional artwork or style guides needed for collections of accessories and wearables for both seasonal and everyday celebrations.
• Initiate new ideas as well as execute concepts from the Art Director.
• Execute designs from initial concept through to final production stage within allotted timelines that are based both on creative and business objectives.
• Assist in trend research for the department including, but not limited to, fashion, pop-culture, surface design, color, and fabrication trends.
• Assist in market research thru print, web, competitive shopping, & market assessment.
• Create trend and mood boards to serve as inspiration for product collections.
• Create presentation and mock-up materials.
• Take ownership of all projects and demonstrate a sound understanding and knowledge of all assignments.
• Form a background of product familiarity in subject matter, function, consumer price/value consideration, and overall program strategy.

Consumer Product Graphic Designer Qualifications:

• Strong design, illustration, color, and typography skills & aesthetic. Must be able to work in a variety of commercially viable styles. Highly Creative!
• Understanding of both 2D and 3D product design.
• Knowledge of different printing techniques, fabrics and other manufacturing materials a plus.
• Ability to identify and apply design trends.
• Experience in the technical setup & preparation of artwork files for production.
• Outstanding ability to take direction from Art Director and follow through and meet deadlines as indicated independently.
• Have dependable work habits, efficient time management, as well as a clear understanding of job priorities.
