Our client, a full-service interactive agency with large pharma clients is seeking a full-time strategy-driven Account Director to join their team!

In this role, the Account Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of your client team. You will be the inspiration provider for your team while building out your client relationships, the marketing strategy, campaign development and management all the way through to the business analysis.

Other responsibilities include:
- Establishing and nurturing client relationships
- Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the clients businesses, their industries and brands to uncover business needs and objectives
- Troubleshooting any and all internal and client issues
- Education and advising clients to identify opportunities to expand the business
- Act as a leader for your team; you are the force behind the personal and professional development of your team
- Oversee financial management of client accounts (forecasting, budgeting)
- Participate in new business efforts and presentations as needed

To be successful in this role, the Account Director must be well-versed on all things digital marketing as they pertain to pharma and healthcare clients. You are in the know, have an understanding of the technology and terminology in this highly scientific, clinical realm. You are science minded, and a digital guru.

Additional qualifications include:
- 5+ years of related industry or agency experience, including pharma ( huge bonus for HCP or Rx focused clients) or account services roles-- ideally you have AOR experience
- Deep level of digital marketing experience, specifically on new product launches
- You are confident in front of both clients and agency executives-- you are unafraid to back up your ideas
- Strong knowledge and experience in multiple areas of marketing: digital, strategy, media, search, RM, branding and social
- Proven ability to lead teams
- Strong communication skills - both oral and written
- Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service

The client is based in San Francisco, so the Account Director MUST be willing to work in the San Francisco office one week per month.
