Our eCommerce Retailer client is seeking a full-time Director of Sales and Marketing to join their team.

This is a brand new position at a small company that will play an imperative part in their growth. This company has an estimated 2021 revenue of $10MM with a longer-term target of $20MM.

You must be an accomplished, hands-on sales operator that can build and teach your team.

The Director of Sales and Marketing will oversee sales, marketing and customer service efforts. You will manage the sales and marketing team of 8, plus freelancers and any outside agency partners.
- You'll first be tasked to identify strategy for all things.

Responsibilities:
1 - Lead, manage and hold your team accountable; Identify top priorities, develop KPIs and incentive program for team, continue to build up your team/ culture to reach peak performance, hold them accountable and support them when they don't meet goals
2 - Oversee Sales: Team sales account for more than 50% of our revenue and over the next three years that number will be over 60%. We need you to develop and execute a scalable sales plan and process. Objectives include accelerating close rates, growing average order value, simplifying the day-to-day account management and increasing the lifetime value of our customers.
3 - Oversee Marketing: Brand building, digital marketing and creating a unified customer experience is a top company priority. We need you to empower your team to develop a plan to connect our channels, efforts and initiatives. Marketing mix includes paid search, SEO, email, social, content, video, photography, animation and PR.
4 - Oversee Customer Service Strategy: Create a strategy that prioritizes service. Objectives include better self-service options, improved communication and working cross-functionally to provide a great customer experience.
5 - Oversee Marketplace: Own the marketplace brands. Amazon is main channel. Need to develop better plan to compete and win; including de-prioritizing selling commodity-driven products and focusing on exclusive, strategic buys, inventory sell-through and more

- Strong understanding and experience with performance and brand marketing
- Skilled at using data to make business decisions (CRM, automation, e-commerce, analytics), HubSpot and ActiveCampaign
- Capable at working “in” and “on” the business seamlessly
