Position Community Moderator - Hottest Tech Company in NY

Our client is one of the most innovative and sought after companies. They are currently seeking a Community Manager for a long term freelance contract.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Actively look for ways to drive user engagement, including identifying trends and proposing ideas/content to drive deeper engagement
- Review posts, moderate spam and take action on users violating program or platform rules
- Keep the community/forums organized and spam free
- Answer questions and troubleshoot user issues
- Review and reply to users

Required Skills:
- BA/BS Degree (Marketing related preferred, however manager will look at other candidates with appropriate experience)
- Minimum 3 years experience in one of the following areas: user generated content, gamification or email marketing campaigns
- Enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills and strong creative thinking skills
- Must be proactive and comfortable creating structure in an environment of ambiguity
- High attention to detail
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to work independently and have a scrappy mindset

Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience moderating a forum or community
- Experience managing social media channels on behalf of a brand or business
- Experience representing a major brand online
