Our fashion client is looking for a freelance Packaging Production Manager to assist their team.

This opportunity will require 32 hours per week, Monday - Thursday for 3-months, with expectations to be hybrid (1-2 days in office per week).

The ideal Packaging Production Manager will have end to end experience in the packaging design process from communicating with vendors, sourcing materials, and collaboration with internal team to ensure accurate packaging designs.

Packaging Production Manager Responsibilities:
• Leads the development process for packaging materials for products, including brainstorming and sourcing prototypes
• Source packaging, attain samples and pricing and manage the approval process with all parties (internal Benefit as well as outside contractors/manufacturers)
• Develop presentations on proofs and mock ups to Art Team, communicate with vendor on approvals or inform them of revisions necessary to meet design goals.
• Provide guidance and counsel to creative teams on technical aspects of packaging design
• Lead status update meetings and project manage deliverables, serving as liaison between Marketing, Art/Creative, R&D, Purchasing, and the manufacturer on all aspects of development and/or redevelopment, ensuring key milestones are met.
• Meet with the design and marketing teams to discuss packaging specifications and confirm budgets
• Initiate artwork requests and assist in proof of final art.
• Evaluate market trends and analyzing similar packaging designs
• Ensure packaging designs accurately represent the company’s brand and voice
• Collaborate with graphic designers and copywriters to finalize packaging text and graphics
• Complete final mock-up designs using computer modeling software
• Actively participate, as needed, on multifunctional teams providing creative solutions, while exhibiting an enthusiastic, flexible, and positive attitude

Packaging Production Manager Requirements:
• Proven experience sourcing and developing packaging
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Bridge)
• Experience with market research and product placement advertising
• Familiarity with various packaging materials
• Knowledge of consumer packaging health and safety regulations
• Proficient with 3D design software including CAD or AutoCAD
