User Experience Researcher - St. Louis

Our corporate client is in need of a User Researcher for a 7+ month assignment to facilitate/moderate user-centered design research activities such as: interviews, usability testing, focus groups, card sorting, contextual inquiry, ethnography, discovery sessions and/or surveys.

User Researcher Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and conduct all user recruiting research activities
• Analyze results from user research and present recommendations
• Identify target user and associated criteria needed for recruiting
• Engage various partner teams on gathering and approval of user lists (i.e., working with data requests, privacy scrubbing groups, etc.)
• Track and manage recruiting activities for each study and down to the participant level (i.e., tracking project, who was contacted, who participated, etc.)
• Interface directly with field team members
• Contribute towards note-taking for user research activities where you are not the moderator
• Act as the main liaison with external research or design vendors
• Contribute to and/or create discussions guides

User Researcher Skills:
• Must be able to work comfortably on a PC only
• Agile experience is a huge plus
• Previous large company experience is a huge plus
• Brokerage/banking experience is a plus, but not required
• Collaborative attitude
• Ability to quickly understand concepts and contribute value
• Ability to effectively take direction and work somewhat autonomously while staying on task
• Strong conceptual skills (i.e., deciphering whiteboard diagrams and pencil sketches)
• Comfortable with frequent iteration to designs based on feedback from users and business partners
