Signage and Wayfinding Designer - WFH during Covid-19

Our architecture client is looking for a Signage and Wayfinding Designer. This is a freelance to full time opportunity for the right fit.

This role does involve travel to onsite discovery, prototyping and installation meetings/sessions.

Signage and Wayfinding Designer Responsibilities
- Develop strategies for wayfiinding and signage solutions for commercial properties, both front of house and back of house
- Discovery meetings to learn client's / project's organizational, spatial, physical context
- Create multiple concepts along with documented design solutions for each project
- Develop wayfinding and signage hierarchal systems that consist of of sign types, messaging and communication
- Integrate color, symbology and typography into two and three dimensional built environments
- Specify material, finishes and graphic standards
- Prepare final documentation including message schedules, sign location plans and sign type drawings
- Collaborate with Design Manager to oversee all steps of the project including fabrication, vendor coordination

Signage and Wayfinding Designer Requirements
- Experience designing wayfinding hierarchical systems
- Experience with fabrication
- Experience seeing a project through to installation
- Background in graphic design
- Understanding of signage codes including ADA and fire/life safety codes
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and Revit
