Our client, a global financial services firm, is looking for a Junior Corporate Communications Writer to join their team for 8 months, 40 hours/week, onsite in their Delaware office (there may be some hybrid flexibility but onsite is ideal, 3-5 days a week).

Experience in corporate communications is not required, but must be able to summarize high level concepts in a concise manner and the desire to learn.
Wiring samples must be provided, any form of will be accepted, ie; ad copy, long form, corp comm.

The bulk of the role is focusing on the day to day communications that go out and there is an opportunity to apply creativity within the bounds of structure!

They're also launching a new communications tool in January so there is an opportunity to be strategic with that.

Junior Corporate Communications Writer Duties
? Develop effective corporate communication strategies
? Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to draft internal communications for Client Service population (~800 internal individuals)
? Write daily, weekly, and monthly messages, as well as employee newsletters and ad-hoc requests
? Help drive strategic perspective in correspondence with the change agenda for the practice
? Assist with regular reporting
? Work collaboratively with team members on projects and/or initiatives related to strategic events for the Client Service Group
? Assist in communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership
? Manage internal communications (memos, newsletters etc.)
? Draft content (e.g. press releases) for mass media or company website
? Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
? Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
? Collaborate with marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements or articles

Junior Corporate Communications Writer Qualifications
? Exceptional verbal and written skills, particularly from a marketing or change management perspective
? Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive topics / issues
? Ability to understand and summarize complex concepts in a manner that is easily understood
? Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with stakeholders at all levels
? Positive attitude and easy to work with while delivering on high priority, time sensitive initiatives
? Highly detail-oriented, organized, and task-oriented, with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
? Ability to work independently and know when to ask for guidance
? Adept at using the Microsoft Office suite

Must Haves:
? Writing Samples, ideally some from high level concepts (they don?t have to be from corporate communications though)
? Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook is required (editing tables for formatting)
? They use Excel for some basic reports (familiarity with V-lookups is a plus but not a must)
