Our highly sought-after corporate client is seeking a part-time freelance Meetings & Events Coordinator with 2+ years of experience for an 18 month position.

The Meetings & Events Coordinator directs, plans and organizes all the day to day operations of the department's programs, conferences, workshops and events.

Meetings & Events Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Consulting with internal customers regarding best space for their meeting based on room size and customer needs
• Room setup for the event including materials needed and ensuring all rooms are fully equipped and audio visual equipment is in working order
• Ordering and coordinating all food and beverage requirements for the event including setup and cleanup
• Providing first level support for audio visual equipment and coordinating additional technical support as needed

Meetings & Events Coordinator Qualifications:
• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification preferred.
• 2+ years experience in conference and/or large scale meeting management (in a business environment) which includes planning and coordinating all meeting details regarding food and beverage, room setup, audio visual and materials as well as negotiating/managing external vendors/contracts for catering, furniture rentals, etc.
• Experience in Outlook (scheduling meetings for themselves and others), Word and Excel (must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets with formulas).
• 1+ years of experience with meeting reservation system preferred
