Our social media giant client seeks an Internal Communications Specialist to join their team in this 12 month freelance role!

This role will be 100% remote, but you must be based in the following approved location(s):
San Francisco, CA
Los Angeles, CA
San Diego, CA

The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Community management for internal groups
- Manage ongoing engagement across Enterprise Engineering's internal groups by reviewing and re-drafting posts from internal teams and collaborative announcement from cross-functional partners
- Consult, review and create comms. drafts for various EE teams who are communicating within EE and to employees internal announcements that support EE initiatives, communities and program rollouts.
- Craft technology-focused messaging for videos, profiles, presentations, blogs and case studies. Coordinate schedules for any virtual video recordings.
- Source and compile content from internal and external resources to develop engaging narratives
- Build, edit, and maintain internal wiki pages, and coordinate with partners to fill out and update internal resources
- Support team in creating content/talking points for senior EE leaders and for EE events
- Measure, maintain, and report comms impact/feedback through surveys and metrics
- Meet tight publishing deadlines with attention to detail

The ideal Internal Communications Specialist should possess the following:
- 5+ years of work experience in journalism, speechwriting, or in internal/corporate communications in a technology or similar space
- Excellent writing abilities to draft and turn complex information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content
- Experience communicating to an employee population of technologists and engineers
- Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously
- Experience using judgment and analysis, providing practical, timely and proactive communication guidance and support.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience writing for a global audience and across multiple content platforms and mediums
- Experience working on a team and communicating to all levels of the organization
- Experience in Internal/employee communications
