Our social media giant client seeks a Learning Events Specialist to join their team in this 12 month freelance role!

This role will require you to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and onsite in San Francisco.

The Learning Events Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Partner with L&D Leaders & Events Team to execute event strategy
- Develop and manage dynamic project plans and production schedules while applying a systems-thinking approach to successfully deliver high quality, live global learning experiences for 1000+ participants across the L&D Event portfolio and post-event community learning strategies.
- Work closely with the Learning Events team to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently
- Execute measurement strategies to assess efficacy of programs including reporting and delivering insights to identify program improvements
- Partner with Legal, Sourcing, Finance, Security, Facilities, Catering and Event Operations teams to align on ongoing event needs
- Engage with partners and cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, and coordination areas, to deliver high-quality large-audience live learning experiences and pre and post-event community learning strategies
- Manage evolving priorities and drive through ambiguity while being dynamic and flexible to business needs and/or shifts in event direction
- Drive technical excellence within the team, coordinating and contributing to project management practices, team road maps, workflow development, launch criteria, and test plans
- Ensure progress on priority work-streams and program deliverables
- Provide virtual or on-site event support, registration management and other duties assigned, as necessary

The ideal Learning Events Specialist should possess the following:
- 3+ years experience in program or project management (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of the key drivers of successful event execution in digital, physical, and hybrid mediums including broadcast experience
- Experience managing a variety of event formats, from exclusive closed-door executive events to large-scale conferences
- Experience leading across a wide stakeholder base to architect, design, deliver, optimize, and measure large-scale events or enterprise initiatives
- Ability to build relationships, trust and foster collaboration across various levels of the organization in a highly cross-functional, global team environment
- Track record of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action when working with escalations or identifying risks

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the meeting/event industry
- Experience using the latest event technologies, including streaming platforms (e.g. Hopin), registration and participant management platforms, agenda management tools, event promotion tools, project and resource management tools, and tools for live event engagement (polls, Q&As, etc.).
- Experience working in a large, fast-moving technology company, working in a global, matrixed setting
- Experience working with or in support of diverse internal communities
- Expertise in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, manager and leader development program design & development
- Extensive experience working with production partners in a creative capacity
- Experience producing immersive media/VR content creation
