Our social media giant client seeks a Product Designer to join their team in this 6 month freelance role!

This role will be WFH until January 2022 then will require you to be onsite in Menlo Park. Proof of vaccination is required to come onsite to the client?s office location.

The Product Designer will be responsible for the following:
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our internal users
- Design easy-to-understand end-to-end flows, and use the appropriate prototyping tools to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work
- Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality
- Partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch

The ideal Product Designer should possess the following:
- 5+ years of experience designing and delivering products from start to finish as part of a cross-functional team
- Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices
- Experience building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features/products that encompass an end-to-end experience within a well-scoped domain
- Experience in strategic product thinking with the ability to understand product goals, identify opportunities and make decisions based on the impact to people and the company
- Interaction design experience with ability to define how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs
- Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma, along with an ability to quickly learn new tools as they emerge to show how a particular flow or interaction
will work

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in complex enterprise SaaS software, analytics, internal monitoring tools, data management, financial, medical, security or defense applications
- Previous experience in Design Thinking and customer engagement workshops
- Ability to conduct user research and usability sessions proactively with/without our researchers
- Technical knowledge of front-end, back-end and APIs
