Content Writer - Hybrid

Our client, a global financial services company, is looking for a Content Writer to join their team for 3 months of freelance, 40 hours/week, with the intent to convert to full-time.

The Content Writer will produce written promotional materials that will make the client's product more accessible and exciting to their commercial real estate clients, including clear text for different advertising channels such as websites, print ads and catalogs.

The work is a mix of long and short form (the longest being a 10-12 page white paper) but regardless the goal is to take complex content and make it concise and pithy.

It's tech forward content and the Product Marketers will produce high level messaging for the Writer to elevate.

The content could also be used in-house so the audience will be internal and external; writing samples (of various lengths/mediums) are required, regardless of the audience.

Content Writer Responsibilities
• Create high quality short form branded content, including displays, ads, data visualizations, and social media
• Write clear, creative, and engaging content that reflects the company’s voice and project specifications
• Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and adapt style of copy to various audiences, purposes, or media
• Exceed writing objectives by producing produce original, clear, and credible content and be responsible for the final development of creative assets
• Ensure messaging brand guidelines and directives are incorporated and maintain a consistent voice through audience focused writing
• Edit and proofread material as demand and scheduling requires
• Brainstorm and write persuasive campaign-platform concepts and messaging
• Work with marketing leads to develop web content that best showcases our products, solutions, and technologies
• Consolidate and incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders

Content Writer Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant copywriting or editorial writing experience, preferably at a B2B or B2C SaaS or Marketplace
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage
• Outstanding organizational, project management, people, and communication skills, including strong writing abilities and proven experience communicating key value messages to a variety of audiences both internal and external
• Experience adhering to documented standards for brand and copy, including style, voice and tone and adhering to regulatory and compliance regulations
• Ability to prioritize, problem solve, multitask, and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace with a bias towards action

This is a remote role for now but long-term the Content Writer needs to be able to join the team for meetings and potentially onsite a couple of days/week, TBD. There is some flexibility with location but the Palo Alto area is preferred.
