Project Manager (Communications) - WFH during Covid-19

Our B2B tech client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in this 12 month freelance role, 40 hours/week!

This role is fully remote, but will require you to be onsite a few days a week in the East Bay once SIP is lifted.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Act as the communication and change management lead for the Digital Workplace Experience team
- Support varied and wide spread team communications, data reporting, and content development needs (e.g. digital presence, deck-building)
- Support change management activities with the goal of driving adoption to the key digital workplace experience platforms that the team owns
- Work on weekly/monthly/quarterly communications including executive updates, newsletters, slack posts, blogs, comms plans for various audiences
- Create project plans to manage the end-to-end project activities
- Develop project reports, presentations, weekly status metrics and communications
- Monitor progress, resolve problems, troubleshoot and ensure action items and deliverables are met
- Support strategic planning and meetings management (e.g. scheduling, preparations, follow-ups)
- Provide strong stakeholder management skills (engagement, leadership, collaboration, communications, etc.) within and across assigned projects
- Maintain ongoing communications with cross functional project partners informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, portfolio status reporting, and other important information

The ideal Project Manager should have the following experience:
- 4+ years of experience in a project management and communications role
- Proven ability to work with all levels and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong ability to use data to generate insights and recommendations, analyze issues, propose creative solutions, and improve processes
- Genuine interest in driving adoption through various change management ideas and processes including but not limited to training and campaigns
- Excellent design sense and an ability to build visually appealing presentations using Google Suite and Powerpoint
- Familiarity using various project management tools
- Extremely organized and expert at roadmap and planning processes; can use tools for sprint planning; needs to know scrum practices and methods for planning backlogs emerging out of portfolio planning sessions
- Basic understanding of the components of common web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
- Basic understanding of website development and content management within intranets
- Project Management certification is a plus
