Our social media giant client seeks a Communications Manager to join their team in this 6 month freelance role!

The Communications Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Drive and execute hardware reviews programs and creative programs for key launches
- Develop relationships with business, technology and lifestyle press.
- Identify and leverage relevant product and corporate news and story angles to develop proactive communications plans in support of team goals.
- Write blog posts, pitches, and other creative materials.
- Organize press events, prep spokespeople, and create briefing materials.
- Collaborate across multiple functions including engineering, product, marketing and communications on communications plans.
- Serve as a spokesperson, as needed.

The ideal Communications Manager should possess the following:
- Bachelors degree in English, Communications or a related field
- Minimum 3-4+ years of experience in consumer hardware PR or related field
- Excellent project management skills and ability working cross-functionally; ability to think creatively and communicate strategically with key stakeholders and business partners
- Proven track record of successful media relations across business, tech and consumer press
- Management of simultaneous product reviews programs across media segments including business, tech and consumer press
