Product Designer - Fully Remote/Off-site

Our B2B tech client is looking for a Product Designer to join their team for 40 hours/week for 12 months!

The Product Designer will be responsible for:
- Driving client's Adaptive Planning’s Accessibility Compliance efforts – ADA, WCAG for web and mobile
- Testing ability in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guideline 2.1 standards and requirements of Section 508 (29 U.S.C §794d)
- Identifying accessibility issues, help troubleshoot and find solutions for them
- Closely collaborating with product management and engineering as a member of the development team to identify and clarify requirements and ensure they are met
- Reviewing existing user experiences, provide feedback on making them more compatible with assistive technologies, and lend design and technical expertise to the project teams
- Assisting in evaluating and formulating a VPAT for various product areas across web and mobile clients
- Performing accessibility audits and develop recommendations to build more accessible experiences and help educate developers think with an accessible mindset
- Assisting with the design, execution, and analysis of accessibility research studies including UX labs, remote research, field studies, and web surveys

The ideal Product Designer has the following experience:
- 5+ years design work on consumer-friendly interactive experiences – desktop, web and mobile
- 2 + years of experience working on complex UI solving accessibility challenges is highly desired
- Working knowledge on Section 508, WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Guidelines, Success Criteria Level AA, and the implementation of accessible solutions
- Experience conducting accessibility testing of web-based applications
- Deep understanding of fundamental interaction design disciplines (information architecture, user personas, storyboarding, wire-framing, rapid prototyping, etc.)
- Ability to rapidly produce multiple UX/UI concepts

Nice to have's:
- Experience with motion graphics and HTML/CSS prototyping
- A keen understanding of social design language and patterns
- Previous experience working in an Enterprise SaaS environment and / or a dynamic start-up
- Mobile design experience
