Our social media giant client seeks a Communications Manager to join their team in this 6+ month freelance role!

The Communications Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and execute proactive and strategic communication plans to support major company initiatives, product launches, and cultural moments
- Understand the unique needs of key business partners and their organizations (goals, products, tools, processes) in order to produce effective and relevant communication strategies
- Develop communication materials (executive memos, internal announcements, key talking points) around a variety of business and technical topics including company strategy, organizational priorities and product launches.
- Provide reactive messaging and crisis communications support as needed
- Create breakthrough communication tactics to cut through the noise to deliver the right message, to the right audience, at the right time
- Proactively identify and implement best practices (e.g. new vehicles, channels, etc.) in support of this and to improve communication effectiveness
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement consistent communications across organizations
- Partner closely with other internal, external communications, and Human Resources teams to align on communication opportunities
- Provide analysis and recommendations on how to improve organizational sentiment and other key metrics ongoing

The ideal Communications Manager should possess the following:
- 8+ years experience working in corporate communications, political campaigns, or nonprofit mission-driven communications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline
- Experience writing for a global audience across multiple disciplines (functional and technical roles) and channels.
- Experience building strong working relationships and driving consensus among key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Experience distilling complex information and summarizing into impactful, non-corporate jargon speak.
- Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously and ability to work autonomously
- Experience in solving problems using judgement and analysis, providing practical, timely and proactive communications guidance and support
- Experience with events planning and logistics
