Our client in the health and beauty industry is looking for a Marketing Director to join their team in Scottsdale.

As the Marketing Director you will serve as a key strategic leader in the organization. You will oversee the development and execution of marketing activities, new product launches, professional communication with in-house and external resources as needed. This position is expected to be an essential part of the editorial and communication strategy team and to lead the overall development of short-range marketing activities and long-range marketing planning.

What you will be doing as a Marketing Director:
-Develop and execute marketing programs in line with organizational goals to drive growth and improve profitability of new and existing products and services
- Work closely with the sales team to develop commercial programs to deliver business goals
-Partner with Sales Management, Editorial, R&D, and Education to align all communication to the equity and marketing objectives
-Expand the brand throughout current customer channels, while strengthening and building the brand presence in the medical field and with consumers
-Partner with the Education and Sales team to develop and execute programs that enhance customers' business skills/acumen and enhance their profitability
-Translate business objectives and strategies to prepare brand portfolio objective, plans, strategies to facilitate the growth of the business units
-Find, vet and select creative vendors who will produce cutting edge, impactful materials for all marketing activities
-Track success rate and performance of ongoing promotional, advertising and marketing
campaign and make the required changes
to improve the campaigns
-Garner deep understanding of marketplace, inclusive of competitor dynamics, consumer needs
and trends
-Develop and manage the annual professional/brand marketing budgets and track monthly actuals versus plan, reallocating budget dollars as needed
-Own and execute product portfolio strategy including product launches, discontinuations,
pricing strategy, unit forecasting, and voice-of-customer input into the innovation roadmap
-Manage the PR agency and related trade and consumer media activities including public
relations for new product launches and ongoing strategic priorities communications and events;
liaison to corporate communications
-Develop and execute annual trade advertising plan (print and digital), with some responsibility
for consumer print advertising
-Oversee the implementation and management of new marketing technologies and tools in support of the Sales Team

What you need to know as a Marketing Director:
-BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or other appropriate discipline, with a preference for an MBA from
a reputable university.
-10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in Beauty / Aesthetics / CPG marketing and 2-5
in a marketing leadership role
-Budget and Team management responsibility
-Preference for experience in premium skin care / beauty
-Proven track record of working with outside agencies and internal teams to crafting relevant campaigns for existing as well as newly created products and services
-Excellent business acumen and problem solving skills
-Financial and commercial fluency to put a commercial lens to business strategies
-Effective communication skills both verbal and written and superb presentation skills
-Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize a spectrum of needs to meet targets and deadlines
