Our nationwide non-profit client is looking for a Freelance Public Relations Coordinator for 6+ months starting June, 2021 with possibly for extension.

The Public Relations Coordinator will support the Senior Public Relations Director and will be responsible for drafting news releases, letters to the editor, social media messaging, blog posts, messaging, backgrounders and other PR materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Pull media monitoring reports for quarterly reporting as well as campaign and grant reporting
+ Assist in placing stories in the media – print and broadcast
+ Analyze and monitor daily client news coverage to identify viable media opportunities to promote the client
+ Work with third parties interested in using the client name and logos and facilitate trademark agreements with legal and PR teams
+ Identify and target social media influencers
+ Conduct research on client related issues and identify relevant reporters and media outlets

REQUIREMENTS:
+ 2-5 years experience in PR, Marketing, Media, Journalism or in similar field
+ Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Ability to identify PR, News, Broadcast, and Social Media coverage and opportunities
+ Must be able to provide a portfolio link or sample of written or published work
+ Familiarity with Digital Marketing especially with Social Media and Social Media Influencers
+ Experience with MS Office Suite - primarily MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel

PREFERRED SKILLS
+ Interest in nonprofit work preferred but not required
