Our mortgage industry client is seeking a Communications Strategist / PR Specialist to join their team on a full-time basis!

This is an onsite position with hours of 11:30am-8:00pm Monday-Friday.

Communications Strategist / PR Specialist Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy for creating and maintaining a favorable public image to consumers, industry, local community, and employees
- Identify, cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets (you will be creating PR strategy + relationships from scratch)
- Develop press materials for media outlets, including press releases, feature articles, and trend stories
- Create and pitch story/content ideas to media
- Help monitor and maintain the identity and reputation of the company
- Evaluate public opinion of company through surveys, polls, and social media engagement and listening
- Arrange for press conferences, interviews, and other media and event appearances for CEO, management and team members
- Assist with internal and external executive messaging (including speech writing/interview prep)
- Assess advertising and promotional programs to ensure they align with PR goals and brand standards
- Track, evaluate, and share results of PR efforts
- Strategize and help coordinate companywide internal communications on the executive level (large company announcements, changes, etc.)
- 15-20% work with social media team to strategize industry and local opportunities for company/CEO to contribute as thought leader

Communications Strategist / PR Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related preferred
- 3+ years of PR experience or related
- Portfolio of press work required
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
