Our client, a consumer / baby products brand is seeking a Marketing Communications Writer to join their team on a 40hrs a week contract to potential full-time basis.

Starting June 1st, this will be onsite in Sorrento Valley 3x a week (any day of your choosing).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports Director of Marketing & Digital with development/execution of brand, category and product launch commercialization strategy (digital and physical).
• Plans and manages all brand activations including, but not limited to, managing review seeding program and collaborating with customer service/operations for on time delivery, line launch events (digital and physical) and strategic influencer partnerships.
• Creates marketing briefs and develops marketing assets in collaboration with the Creative Service team for all consumer communication touchpoints (digital and physical) including but not limited to; copy for packaging, websites, PDPs, social posts, social ads, blog posts, enhanced content, presentations, etc.
• Manages and publishes all copywriting content for cross-functional and global usage. Communicate regularly with US/INT and EU teams to ensure needs are being met.
• Works closely with a cross-functional team to become an expert on features & benefits of products, consumer segments and key retail channel needs to build relevant and effective communications for consumer journey.
• Maintains Product Information Management (PIM) system.
• Leads social media community communication response management responding in the social-mandated timeframe to maintain optimal brand score. Communicates directly with consumers through social media, Q&A retail marketplace, community chat forums and in-person activation's.
• Supports Marketing and Sales team in any consumer/account related events to support awareness of brand and retailer support/activation's.
• Business point-person for brand inquiries and dissemination of brand information/assets internal and external.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Marketing
• CPG experience required / Baby/juvenile industry is preferred
• 5+ years of experience with direct involvement in brand marketing, brand management or category marketing.
• Demonstrated ability and experience with all marketing communication and copy – physical, digital, long form and ads.
• Must have experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry and experience supporting products on both physical and digital shelf.
• Must be able to keep abreast of current trends in branding, physical shelf packaging, digital shelf selling (PDPs, A+ Pages, SEO, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Suite: Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Salsify or similar PIM experience
