Our client is a major retailer. They are seeking a permanent, onsite, Senior Manager of Executive Communications / PR.

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the trusted strategic counsel to executive leadership, identifying communications and public relations needs and opportunities. The role is responsible for developing integrated communications plans for Corporate initiatives and managing crisis and issues mitigation plans. This includes responsibility for the delivery of comprehensive communications that are tied to enterprise-wide strategic goals. The Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications will deliver innovative external communications strategies that protect and promote the brand and reputation. The Sr. Manager is responsible for driving strategic action.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads communications and public relation strategy development and implementation, supporting enterprise strategy, ESG/philanthropy, diversity, equity and inclusion, and corporate crisis and issues mitigation.
Creates integrated communication plans aligned with enterprise strategy ESG and DE&I initiatives and ensures communications are developed, approved, and delivered on time and on budget.
Provides thought leadership in corporate communications strategy and develops comprehensive plans, with a focus on external elements and execution
Develops and deepens cross-functional relationships across the business to ensure seamless collaboration.
Guides priorities of corporate communications team, ensuring priorities are considered while quality is maintained
Manages national and local media relations
Comfortable working in ambiguity and under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines
Entrusted with confidential and sensitive company information
Serves as a trusted advisor and provide strategic counsel to senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organizations
Responsible for measuring reputation impact and issues tracking that informs the business and demonstrates value creation
Identify and manage issues in a fast-paced environment while cultivating relationships with social media influencers, media partners, and other external relationships.
Manage external public relations agencies, including tracking budgets, reporting, and delivery of support to meet business goals
Selects, manages and develops a best-in-class team of talent

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in English, Journalism, Television / Media, Communications
5 Years of Corporate Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations experience
3 Years of operations experience

Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in English, Journalism, Television / Media, Communications
5 Years of people management / supervisory experience
10 Years of Corporate Communications, Television, or Public Relations experience
