User Researcher - Fully Remote/Off-site

We're reaching out to see if you're interested in a UX research role which a major tech client here in Seattle. This will be 40 hours per week, fully remote for 3-months with potential to extend up to 11 months total.

In this role, you will aid in unraveling complexities of personalizing individual reading experiences within a household. Research will predominantly be generative, with some evaluative work. Strong knowledge of all phases of the product and design development cycle is critical for this position. You will inform and help guide design decisions and experiences an e-reader and apps.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- 5+ years of applied industry experience conducting user research
- Past work experience examples were your research informed decision-making and product strategy
- Applied experience with a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods; including remote research
- End-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research lifecycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating).
- Broad knowledge of research methodologies and the proven ability to execute the right methodology to get the needed result.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a fast-paced software development environment within a highly entrepreneurial organization.
- Applied research experience with diverse customers of all ages and backgrounds.
- Applied research experience in non-US markets.
- MA/MS or PhD in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, or related discipline
