Calling all UX Designers who have 3+ years of experience! Our research service client is hiring a contract-to-hire UX Designer in Columbus, OH.

This is a four month freelance role that will eventually go full-time. While freelance it would be offsite, once converted it would be onsite Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The UX Designer will be responsible for:
- Identifying the best methods and processes for creating the optimal product user experience, in tight product development stages and timelines
- Engaging in all stages of product developmentfrom early research and user analysisto user experience design, support of user research, and ongoing benchmarking of products and applications
- Translating product needs into world-class user experiences
- Teaming up with product managers and owners, business analysts and contractors on projects
- Defining and validating product information architecture, interaction patterns, user flows, and UX design specifications. Communicates those experiences to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Supporting and/or conducting rigorous usability tests, using a variety of analytical methods including lab-based and remote usability testing; paper prototyping; rapid iterative testing of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

The UX Designer must have:
- 3+ years of experience in interaction design for software applications, preferably in a B2B context.
- Formal training or equivalent experience in human centered design or design thinking.
- Experience using interaction design and prototyping tools (such as Axure, Adobe XD, Figma).
- Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, prototyping, user experience design, user research, and information architecture.
- Competency with UI design standards, heuristic analyses/expert review, prototyping, and wireframing.
- Strong analytical skills, and the ability to create solutions for dense, text-based technical information. A background in chemistry beneficial.
