Jr. Designer (agency + eCommerce) - Fully Remote/Off-site

Our Seattle-based web design/development agency client is looking for a junior designer for a 40 hour per week contract (remote) which could convert to full-time after about three months. This role will have occasional onsite meetings post-COVID.
In this role you will be:
- creating visual assets for websites, mobile applications, and social media, with the direction of a senior designer
- assisting with content management for Shopify storefronts and WordPress sites
- effectively and proactively communicating your design thinking, ideas, concerns, and blocking issues to project managers
The ideal UI/UX designer will have:
- 2+ years of professional design experience
- a familiarity with web technologies as they pertain to design, like content management systems, shopping carts, content delivery systems, etc.
- an understanding of best practices for social media design production with clean, organized digital files
- a solid understanding of HTML/CSS (this position will require some very basic coding)
- responsive web design experience
- proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite as well as Sketch/Figma/Adobe XD
- UX / prototyping experience
