ESG Communications Director

Our biotech client is looking for an Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Communications Director to join their team for an ongoing freelance basis!

This will be part-time, around 20-25 hours a week. This role is remote but will require going onsite in Carlsbad occasionally.

ESG Communications Director Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal committee on ESG initiatives
- Develop strategies and programs around ESG initiatives
- Execute communications and set up programs based upon the developed ESG awareness and engagement plan
- Write proposals, website content, presentations, and other various forms of communications for internal and external audiences
- Coordinate with business leaders to provide measurable results against ESG priorities

ESG Communications Director Requirements:
- 5+ years of ESG focused experience; 8+ years of marketing communications experience
- Must have expertise in ESG, and proven background in launching these programs
- Corporate experience is a must, ideally in bitotech/pharma, tech, healthcare or medical device industries
- Strong writing samples
- Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to network within a highly-matrixed organization and maintain collaborative relationships
- Experience working with senior executives
