UX/UI Designer - WFH Flexible

Rate Up to $60/hr.
Our online education client has an immediate need for a REMOTE freelance UX Designer. This will start at 20 hours a week with hours increasing as needed.

You will be working closely with creative leadership, product managers, project managers, business stakeholders, and development teams to make certain there is a clear understanding of the designed experience and maximum user value is achievable.

As part of the Global Creative team, you will be working in a collaborative, agile environment to deliver exceptional experiences across K-12 educational products for learners, educators, and administrators.

• UI/UX for new features and product evolution.
• Develop UX mock-ups and prototypes.
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Maintain and develop style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
• Craft the UX journey and proposed functionality to enable software developers to bring to life intuitively usable product features and functionality.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to conduct UX research and craft early problem statements in defining challenges and opportunities.
• Collaborate with the product management and software development teams across products to align on the implementation of new features and functionality.
• Interviews with our internal and external users & usability tests, gather qualitative & quantitative data to validate potential solutions
• Assess new technologies and strategies on modernization of older UI frameworks.
• Identifying opportunities to improve an existing product’s features or, in the case of a new product, uncovering the main features needed for a minimum viable product.
• Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability) within the constraints of existing products and their technical design.

• Bachelor’s degree required; aligned certification may be considered
• Minimum of 5 years as a member of an experience design, creative, or UI/UX team
• Advanced skill with Adobe UI/UX apps including but not limited to Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Intermediate knowledge of a variety of tools/apps for wireframing and prototyping
• Experience with user research and conducting usability testing
• Demonstrated ability to react and respond positively to changing requirements based on user feedback, usability tests, and executive review
• An understanding of HTML and CSS a plus
• An understanding or experience with jQuery, JavaScript, and ASP.NET and MVC frameworks
• Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Teams
• Experience working with various departments within a product team
• Experience working with mobile design a plus

Personal laptop/computer required but licenses will be provided as needed.
