Our client, a non-profit organization in the agriculture and nutrition industry, is looking for a full-time Director of Issues and Crisis to join their team. This role is completely REMOTE with regional travel required.

The Director of Issues and Crisis must have some experience with issues and crisis communications, have grace under pressure, a knack for external communications and work well with remote teams.

In this role, the Director of Issues and Crisis will be responsible for the following:
- Overseeing and implementing the issues and crisis plan for the organization
- Proactively forecast potential issues and crisis for the organization
- Developing new resources and collateral for internal channels
- Monitoring media issues and providing media training and coaching.
- Building strong internal relations with program leads to ensure issues don't arise or if they do they are handled appropriately.
- Managing and tracking trends, results, opportunities and budgets.
- Working with the corporate communications team to create a plan around media requests and help identify spokespeople within the company.
- Partnering with the communications team to provide strategic tactics for issue responses within social media, digital, video, press releases, pitches and more.
