Our client in the property management industry is looking for a Communications Specialist to help their team.

This position is a 40hrs a week contract on an ongoing basis with the potential for full-time employment for the right fit.

This candidate will need to be local to Minnesota to be considered.

What you will be doing as a Communications Specialist:
-Manage and develop high touch resident communications to support operational needs, create positive resident sentiment, and enhance our relationships/community building
- Writing for other audiences or channels may be requested as needed.
-Manage the communications process from the initial request for communications through drafting, review, approvals and delivery
-Create and execute comprehensive communication plans and editorial calendars to support market specific operations (writing/drafting resident communications, call scripts and other written communications as needed)
-Ensure all communications activities and messaging are consistent with overall company communications strategy, brand, voice and tone.
-Work with the executive team on communications strategy
-Defer any communications or media issues or challenges to the communications team leaders

What you need to know as a Communications Specialist:
-Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related degree
-5+ years of internal/external or strategic communications experience
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills; writing samples will be required, and a writing assignment may be requested
-Understanding of all types of communications channels and how to use them to effectively tell the companys story to internal and external audiences
-Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and comfortably work under pressure in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities
-Knowledge and use of AP style
-Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
