Our client, a local nonprofit organization in Downtown Boston, is looking to hire an Events Manager to help cover for an upcoming maternity leave!

All work can be flexible to fully remote, up to 35hrs/week.

As the Events Manager you will be working with the Director of Events, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to help manage, plan, implement and coordinate a variety of virtual events to support the organization's missions. You will be asked to:
- Manage event planning process from start to finish, strategizing and determining type, scale, tone, theme and content of events
- Oversees event budget, making strategic recommendations for the use of funds
- Coordinate all details, large and small, for an event: sending gifts to participants, organize timelines, prep/prompt speakers
- Conducts event planning meetings, event staff briefings, articulating all roles and responsibilities

Ideal Events Manager:
- 4+ years of experience producing and managing a variety of events, especially video and virtual experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working for a non-profit is a nice to have
- Flexibility to work some nights and weekends
