Our client, a well known household name for coffee is seeking a Freelance Email Marketing Manager to join their team.

This is ideally a hybrid (2 days/week onsite in Westchester) opportunity but could be open to fully remote applicants as well. This opportunity will be 40hrs/week for 3+ months with potential to extend or turn full time for the right person.

In this role, Email Marketing Manager will join the eCommerce and Digital team and be responsible for planning and developing the brand's email marketing strategy. You will be responsible for developing email campaign strategies and executing tactics that deliver persuasive messages to current and prospective customers to support the ecommerce business.

Responsibilities:
- Join this small team as a hands on member to enhance email programs to create loyalty, increase retention, facilitate cross sell and improve overall ROI
- Use email marketing concepts and metrics to measure and optimize email campaigns, improve open rates, deliverability, click rates, and conversion rates, and to achieve specific business goals
- Manage and build overall email marketing strategy, focus on retention and acquisition of new customers
- Manage the execution of daily email communications (existing, potential, and loyalty)
- Assist the team with best content to develop segmentation and personalization strategy while driving incremental profit and continuous improvement of email KPIs
- Create email campaigns that align with brand's overarching multi-channel strategy and partner cross functionally to formulate targeted content and cohesive customer engagement
- Create campaigns to nurture top customers including loyalty members and subscription program members
- Manage email marketing production schedules to ensure flawless and on time execution with agency partners
- Secure necessary approvals from all applicable stakeholders
- Define email lists, targets to create CRM segmentations, launch new segment programs and content
- Review data such as open rates, clickthrough rates, unsubscribes etc to identify areas for improvement in future campaigns
- Analyze data to determine the effectiveness of email campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement
- Knowledge of codes and policies related to customer privacy and GDPR

Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands on email marketing experience, from strategy to execution and improvements
- Experience including email segmentation and testing, experience lead nurturing, marketing automation, and/or web analytics for enhancing campaigns
- Ability to work cross functionally with multiple teams to create the best and most relevant email content for customers
- Hands on experience with CRM marketing operations, technology, and campaign platforms (e.g. Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, behaviorally target email vendors, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Experience with a web analytics platform such as Google Analytics, Power BI or Adobe Analytics
- Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Team player with experience working in a cross-functional team and managing multiple projects at once
- Experience running and optimizing large scale marketing programs and developing strategies to increase customer lifetime value
- Demonstrated knowledge of email best practices including deliverability, personalization, subject lines, reporting, send time optimization, etc.
- Knowledge of GDPR and customer privacy policies
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills with great interpersonal and communication skills
