Our client, a professional hockey team based on Long Island, is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to join their team as a full time employee.

**Please note, this is a hybrid work schedule - there are no set days you will be required to be in the office but you MUST be onsite for training, game days + as needed for meetings, events, etc. You must be willing to commute to the client's office in Floral Park, NY (on Long Island).**


The Motion Graphics Designer will:

- Create and deliver motion design concepts - graphics and layouts - that can leverage history of the franchise at times while also offering ideas for creative risk-taking
- Work on a variety of projects that span the entire brand including in-game branding, broadcast graphics, digital, website, social media, arena signage, sales collateral and community events, etc.
- Concept and execute primarily 2D design needs including: animating type, logos, logo loops, intros & outros, titles, breathing life into static assets, etc.
- Be a "swiss army knife" that can field primarily social and arena marketing requests from all over the organization
- Develop creative that supports sales and builds equity in the brand while creating an energized and fun environment in the arena
- Take tasks from design brief all the way through to implementation on multiple platforms
- Craft solutions with high visual impact that will help to elicit positive responses from the client's various customer and client segments
- Engage with the Director of Game Presentation, Director of Video Production, Social Media Managers, Web Content Producer, and other media + external creative agencies
- Collaborate will the creative team on a daily basis, including providing and receiving feedback from other team members and implementing as needed
- Work within brand guidelines and any established campaign structure as needed but having the ability to push concepts, elevate designs and come to the table with fresh ideas


The ideal Motion Graphics Designer must:

- Have at least 3 years of motion experience
- 3D motion experience is a plus but not required
- Previous experience working for a sports organization is highly preferred and desired
- Have a a strong portfolio showcasing a clean, modern aesthetic and samples of sports work
- Be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro and (Cinema4D a plus)
- Have strong conceptual capabilities and be prepared to take your ideas all the way through to final delivery
- Have an illustration skillset (with knowledge of hand-illustration software)
- Be passionate and invested in your work
- Be curious to learn and build upon already existing skillset
- Possess a creative and artistic flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Be able to communicate and present ideas to peers while explaining design decisions
- Be fluent in design, fashion, editorial, film and tech as well as visual history and classical references
- Be comfortable tackling problems head-on and adapting to shifting priorities
- Be a motivated self-starter with a no-task-too-small attitude
- Be a champion of great design
- Be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task and collaborate
- Be aware of and interest in latest digital and social media trends shaping professional sports (e.g., the cross-section of sports // pop culture // music // fashion // art // entertainment)
- Be able to switch gears on a moments notice and adapt to shifting priorities
- Be able to manage your own time, work independently, and prioritize tasks
- Be willing to work flexible hours around hockey games including weekends, holidays, etc.
- Be a high energy person that is excited to help move the organization forward
