Our client, a well-known electronics company, is looking to hire a full-time strategic Director of Brand Strategy for the music division of the company, hybrid (onsite in New Jersey a couple of days a week).

A background from/familiar with the music industry is preferred but not required.

The Director of Brand Strategy will analyze the brand positioning and consumer insights in order to grow the brand reputation and shape and communicate the brand vision and mission. The Director will work with the VP and other internal teams to translate the elements of the brand into a plan and go to market strategies.

There wont be direct reports starting out but long-term this could grow into a role with direct reports.

Director of Brand Strategy Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights and craft our differentiation strategy
Shape and communicate our vision and mission
Translate brand elements into plans and go-to market strategies
Work with the marketing team on brand initiatives
Gather feedback from sales and analyze consumer behavior to define our companys position
Work with creative development to motivate the target audience to take action
Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications and sales estimates.
Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess ROIs & KPIs
Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors activities
Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities
Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions
Devise innovative growth strategies
Align the division around the brands direction, choices and tactics

Director of Brand Strategy Qualifications:
At least 5+ years of related experience, as Brand Manager or Associate Brand Manager
Bachelor's degree in Marketing related field from four-year college or university
Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to executives
Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
Data driven thinking and an affinity for numbers (the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference is key)
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
Up-to-date with the latest trends and marketing best practices
Familiarity with SEO Best Practices
Proficient in Web Analytics (Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics)
PowerPoint and Excel proficiency required
