Our client, a nearly 200-year-old non-affiliated synagogue located in Manhattan, is seeking a Digital Marketing Associate with technical skills in website management and a strong knowledge of HTML to join their team for 6 months of work (40 hours / week).

**Please note: this is a fully remote position! You will need to work off of your own equipment!**

The Digital Marketing Associate will:

- Use HTML to troubleshoot and make fixes to the website as needed, create new pages, publish content / blog posts, update formatting, etc.
- Assist with a new website migration project as needed, plugging in content, QCing web page updates, implementing changes and overseeing the project timeline to make sure the project is staying on track
- Maintain high standards of copywriting and exercising quality control on all copy, proofreading content as needed, sometimes with a quick turnaround
- Research industry topics and develop content alongside the copywriter
- Build congregational emails from existing templates using developed copy and email lists
- Conduct AB testing and monitor email performance / metrics
- Maintain event registration systems, update event lists, market upcoming events, etc.
- Ensure internal and external content aligns with key organizational priorities
- Define audiences and customize copy and content to those channels or groups
- Help strengthen brand voice and presence
- Assist the marketing/communications team and day-to-day operations to support communications needs of each department
- Support the Director of Marketing and Communications on projects and organizational priorities



The Digital Marketing Associate must:

- Have at least 3 years of experience in communications or marketing
- Advanced computer proficiency required, including basic to intermediate level knowledge of HTML
- Proven experience working with WordPress required
- Previous experience working with an email building platform is required, although experience with Mailchimp is preferred
- Design skills / experience with Canva or the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Familiarity with / experience in Google Suite, Monday.com, Salesforce and Eventbrite are all pluses
- Have granular attention to detail, grammar, and syntax
- Have excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
- Be able to organize and complete multiple tasks with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
- Be able to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Have excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
- Be a creative, resourceful self-starter with an ability to work independently
- Have high emotional intelligence and maturity
- Have a strong business acumen
- Have an affinity for problem solving by collecting relevant information and applying your understanding
- Be flexible, willing to listen effectively, and to seek and receive feedback
- Be able to adjust hours based on seasonal needs (ie. at times working evenings and weekends, and during the High Holy Days)
- Jewish knowledge is helpful but not required
