Junior Project Manager

Our client, a full-service global experiential marketing agency, is looking to hire a client facing freelance to full-time Junior Project Manager, fully remote but able to travel for the events the will manage (nationwide, up to 10% of the time).

The Junior PM will assist with client projects as they come in and manage day-to-day tasks and deliverables, using meticulous project planning to assist in creative resource allocation and execution. The work will come in waves and start out slow but ramp up eventually and may even be over 40 hours/week when event dates are approaching.

An understanding of large format printing is helpful but not required, since the PM will join the events & exhibits side of the business. The ability to look wholistically look at a show, understand graphics + client needs (registration, wayfinding, aspects of show floor, etc.) is imperative to success in the role. The PM will oversee the communication between the client and the agencys internal design team.

Project Manager Role and Responsibilities
Assist with individual client meetings in a specific show area or business vertical
Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and messaging established for the overall show
Assist in image selection/search for graphics for both 2D and 3D
Track and manage client requests for messaging and graphics, including rounds of edits (includes graphics from concepts, detailing/CAD, and production)
Keep an organized list of all deliverables continuously updated with incoming and necessary information
Track timelines, create project plans, and keep team members aware of potential barriers to execution
Lead the allocation of creative resources for given projects based on meticulous organization and planning
Triage incoming feedback and requests coming from clients and accounts, incorporating into project plan
Exceptional organizational and technical skills
Communicate clearly, positively, and productively with all team members

Project Manager Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university
2+ years of professional experience, ideally some from working as a project manager with a creative, design or marketing team
Agency experience is a plus but not required
Superior organization skills, precise and meticulous/high attention to detail; excellent follow-up skills are required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals internally and externally
Proactive and self-motivated; taking ownership of meetings and striving to exceed commitments
Exhibits the ability to multi-task, must be versatile and thrive under severe time constraints and immovable deadlines; works well under pressure
A team player with a great sense of humor and positive attitude; thoughtful and conscientious
Embodies flexibility, open-mindedness, and receptivity; forward thinking with the desire to learn and grow
Proficient in using Microsoft office programs
PMP Certification is a plus but not required
Must be able to travel nationwide for events onsite and check set up etc.

This is an ongoing freelance opportunity with the intent to convert to full-time after roughly 6 months or so; they have an event in Sept., two in Oct and one in Nov. so once the PM has experienced the cycle of a full show they will have a solid understanding of the role and hopefully ready to convert to full-time!
