Our client, a large medical university, is looking for Communications Writers to help their team in an ongoing freelance capacity, approximately 30 hours per week.

PLEASE NOTE: the client would prefer writers who are able to work onsite one day per week or every two weeks at their NYC office location.

In this role, the Communications Writer will be supporting internal communications, writing and editing compelling, engaging content that will live across the companies intranet. Work will include; thought leadership, internal blogs, the company intranet, company communications, etc. Content articles will be anywhere from 200-800 words and include interviews, cultural spotlights, original content and editorial spotlights.

Requirements for the Communications Writer include:

- at least 6+ years of writing experience in a communications, journalism and / or editorial role
- portfolio that showcases compelling, engaging content, creative writing and the innate ability to connect with audiences on an emotional level
- experience writing thought leadership pieces
- meticulous attention to detail and the ability to copy edit and proofread your own work
- ability to get up to speed on content calendars quickly
