Our client, a digital health company that specializes in developing healthcare applications, is seeking a UX / UI Designer with proven mobile / app experience and strong UX research skills to join their team.

**Please note, this role is fully remote. A laptop will be provided to you!**

The UX / UI Designer will be responsible for:

- Taking ownership of the user experience and applying a User-Centered Design methodology across each applications lifecycle
- Working with our project teams to turn product requirements into design briefs and patient centered designs
- Developing design concepts, sketches, user flows, wireframes, and detailed UX specifications to clearly define application structure
- Building prototypes for internal and client communications, and for usability testing
- Conducting usability testing, and thoughtfully integrating feedback into application design
- Doing user research and building personas for understanding of practical usability
- Developing a systemic approach for an applications design system
- Working collaboratively with our development teams to deliver required functionality and make apps live
- Creating detailed data visualizations to help patients understand their data, and share this data with physicians
- Making product recommendations to a client as well as defending those recommendations and explaining the strategy behind it


The ideal UX / UI Designer must:

- Have 3-5 years of experience in designing intuitive digital UI/UX solutions
- Have previous experience working in mobile app design, having created products for iOS and Android operating systems, with an understanding of how a native iOS app differs from an Android app is an absolute must
- Have previous experience designing a mobile product at a product company or agency
- Previous healthcare experience is a plus
- Have a clean, modern aesthetic and a portfolio that showcases previous app work, ideally with 1-2 (or more) live apps on Google Play or the App store, as well as data visualization work
- Have previous client-facing experience
- Animation skills are a plus but not required
- Have an expert understanding of the following software: Figma, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign
- Familiarity or working knowledge of the following software: Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects
- Have insightful design thinking for the development of supportive & caring patient experiences
- Be able to proactively identify edge cases and design solutions that account for all scenarios
- Have an understanding of technical requirements and ability to build solutions that work seamlessly with a technology platform
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly express yourself to internal and client stakeholders
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment and be a team player
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to balance multiple projects at the same time
- Have the desire and drive to learn new technology, evolve and reinvent our applications, and to keep our team innovating solutions
