Our client, a boutique creative agency that is grounded in radical humanity, is seeking an Account Director to join their team.

**Please note: in this role you will be required to be in the office in Manhattan Tuesday-Thursday each week! A laptop will be provided to you!**

The Account Director will be responsible for:

Day to Day:
- The health and retention of the live clients you manage on behalf of the agency
- Working collaboratively with respective department to achieve outstanding client relationships and work product
- Fostering a strong culture of trust with your clients and demonstrating an intimate knowledge of their business needs by focusing on nurturing and developing deep and long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensuring client retention remains above 75% year on year across the business
- Representing the agency and adding to your exceptional black book of contacts of brands across the US and Europe
- Leading your project teams with compassion, energy and positivity, acknowledging that you are ultimately responsible for quality of client deliverables across the business and including the work product of your direct reports
- Actively seeking out feedback on your performance and look for ways to improve and grow in your role
- Identifying resourcing bottlenecks and actively work with other departments to ensure they have the resources needed to deliver on projects/pitches
- Confidently critiquing and providing constructive and positive feedback on strategies developed in response to a client brief
- Proactively looking at ways to improve margins on projects whilst maintaining the integrity of the creative concept
- Effectively onboarding freelancer project managers and producers into the agency's business and ways of working

- Effectively working across several projects, brands and internal teams concurrently ensuring excellence in output and work product
- Managing the internal flow of work and ensuring that the team members meet deadlines
- Communicating openly and effectively with internal teams to reach the best outcomes on briefs and project delivery
- Working with Global teams to promote participation in the Global Agency, striving establish global ways of working
- Avidly reading and researching industry articles and trade press to keep up with the latest market trends and insights and find ways to share with the rest of the agency
- Developing and managing systems and processes that capture IP, contacts and other crucial data (This is an every week responsibility, data is fluid and needs to be updated constantly.)
- Nurturing, training and leading other client services team members within the business

Finance and Admin:
- Working with Finance & Operations Director to track head hours, issue invoices, flag any bottlenecks in resource management and improve workflow processes
- Issuing invoices to clients where necessary
- Taking responsibility for regular updates to the sales pipeline
- Attending weekly internal meetings
- Ensuring all agency workflow and systems are adhered to
- Reporting on workflow when required
- Supporting Ad Hoc projects as they arise from data, new-moon live, strategy programming

The Account Director must:

- Have at least 6 years of account management / client services experience at an agency or design firm
- Have proven experience handling multi-million dollar projects with high end brands
- Be proficient in the Google Suite and Microsoft Suite (specifically PowerPoint)
- Have working knowledge of financial management and time tracking tools (e.g.Workflow Max, Receipt Bank)
- Be able to create, and contribute to, decks for presentations (new client pitches, presentations of ideas to existing clients, etc.)
- Have strong verbal communication and writing skills in both written and email
- Have excellent client management skills which inspires confidence and trust from clients and employees alike
- Have excellent client service and relationship building qualities
- Be able to lead clients through challenging and innovative projects and campaigns
- Have an excellent network of contacts in the lifestyle, fashion, travel and technology brand industries
- Be comfortable working with multiple clients at once and be able to multi-task across multiple projects, clients and teams
- Be extremely collaborative, someone who is comfortable working in a team setting and prioritizes getting the work done rather than individual praise
- Be resourceful so that obstacles dont turn into delays and have excellent creative problem solving skills
- Have a razor sharp attention to detail, picking up things that others might miss
- Have a high EQ that helps you gauge the health of client relationships and the subtle shifts in sentiment, confidence and buy-in
- Be genuinely curious about learning and committed to growth
- Have an innovative spirit and be willing to try new approaches
- Be able to be direct while always showing warmth and understanding
- Be very ambitious and growth oriented (both personally and professionally)

- Be comfortable working across multiple time zones (teams in London, LA and Sydney)
