Our client, a large kitchenware retailer, is seeking a Senior Brand Copywriter to join their team freelance to start for 3+ months with the opportunity to go full time thereafter.

This role will be hybrid remote and onsite, going into the office every Monday and Tuesday and remote the rest of the week. The hybrid schedule will start at a future date that is yet to be determined. A computer will be provided. COVID Vaccinations are required for this role.

Senior Brand Copywriter Responsibilities:
- Own and amplify brand voice and messaging as an authority across the organization (domestic and international), all consumer-facing channels, the brand journey, and media
- Lead and edit writers, and review all copy holistically to ensure its on brand
- Maintain and evolve Tone and Voice Guide, narrative, and storytelling strategy in partnership with Creative and Marketing Directors.
- Educate partners, both internal and external (communications agencies and media partners), on the brand voice to ensure consistency
- Help concept content and campaigns based on marketing briefs.
- Ensure all online direct-to-consumer copy is SEO friendly.
- Lead naming and media strategy for all product launches, refreshes and categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, D2C and Sales to bring new products to market with effective, brand-right naming, messaging and collateral.
- Manage and develop a full-time copywriter and a network of freelancers.

Senior Brand Copywriter Qualifications:
- 6 + years professional experience in copywriting and editorial content creation for consumer brands
- Experience writing for culinary, food, grocery brands a plus
- Experience managing and mentoring copywriters a must
- Experience writing SEO-rich copy for direct-to-consumer and e-comm brands
- Experience working across print, packaging, web, e-commerce, retail and interactive media
- Able to lead a brand and editorial writing, from narrative storytelling to day-to-day copy creation and editing
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PPT, Excel; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Familiarity with project management software (Smartsheets, Basecamp, Asana) a plus
- Product naming experience ideal
